Job Description

Reporting to the Dean, the Director of Recruitment and Field Relations will provide leadership, strategic direction, management, and oversight for all activities related to graduate student recruitment and enrollment including marketing, admissions, and financial aid for the Graduate School of Education at Touro College.

Job Duties

This person will be the primary leader and responsible for the following efforts:
A. Facilitating an annual process, alongside the Dean and other GSE leadership, to establish annual enrollment goals.
• Creating and managing the recruitment strategy, and inquiry tracking and reporting on recruitment progress and trends
B. Developing and implementing a data-informed Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) plan that meets targeted enrollment goals and enrolls a high quality, diverse student body that represents and enhances the reputation of Touro College GSE.
• Creating a targeted communication and marketing strategy, continuing to enhance GSE website, and developing program-specific materials, in partnership with Program Chairs, Enrollment Coordinator, the GSE Coordinator of Communications and Marketing, and Director of Admissions.
C. Managing a team and collaborating with Program Chairs, Site Directors and the Director of Graduate Admissions to implement the elements of the strategic enrollment management plan.
• Developing recruitment tools such as webinars, feeder school relationships, student/alumni ambassador programs, events planning, and visit strategies
D. Collaborating with Program Chairs, Site Directors and departmental Administrative Assistants to provide information, resources, and advisory support necessary to meet programmatic enrollment goals.
• Developing the communication strategy to drive Inquiries to Applications and Applications to Admitted students.
E. Develop and enhance, new and existing relationships between GSE programs and P-12 Schools and School Districts in New York City and the Greater New York metropolitan Areas.
• Creating and communicating strategy to inform admit decisions, providing data to inform these decisions Managing admitted student events, website, newsletter, and student Ambassador program
F. Providing leadership to establish admissions priorities and to develop and implement systems and processes to achieve established goals.
• Setting application and admissions targets and tracking and reporting on admission progress
G. Providing quantitative and qualitative reporting on admissions and enrollment data in the context of the enrollment landscape.
• Conducting customized yield actions on the various students’ categories; Matriculated, Non-Matriculated, Advanced Certificates and Certificate Extensions
H. Implementing and overseeing the packaging and disbursement of the College’s graduate aid strategy*
• Creating and updating SEM progress dashboards to report yield to the GSE community.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree required (Ph.D. or Ed.D. preferred)
• 8 years of experience (with 5+ years of experience specifically in successful graduate recruiting with increasing responsibilities).
• Strong analytic skills,
• Mastery of an admissions platform (Hobsons AY, Banner, etc.)
• Strong verbal and written skills
• Evidence of strategic planning ability.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
