Job Description

Proctoring of Entrance and/or ATB exams for admission to Touro College. General administrative duties, including but not limited to reporting, analysis and administration.

Job Duties

• Monitors students during test sessions to ensure a secure testing environment.
• Assists in the distribution and collection of test materials.
• Reports suspected irregularities to the Director of Disability Services.
• Controls admission to and from the testing room.
• Enforces exam rules regarding items brought into exam and kept at tables (must ensure cell phones are off and not at tables with applicants).
• Proctors must work quietly without unnecessary disruptions to test takers, yet must be hyper-vigilant to applicant behavior and applicant needs.

Required Qualifications

Education, Preparation, and Training
• Bachelor’s degree
• At least 1-3 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Possess strong communication skills and good judgment
• Ability to work in a quiet environment and assist the students with minimal interruption to others
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evening assignments
• Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook

Physical Demands

• Extensive use of computers
• Extensive time sitting and standing
• Able to lift up to 5 lbs.
