Job Description

A highly motivated, hardworking educator to be hired at the instructor or assistant professor level to assist in the teaching of Family Medicine and Primary Care.

Job Duties

• Faculty members in the Family Practice & Primary Care department are responsible for the delivery of a portion of’ the curriculum in which they have experience.
• They are expected to assist the college of Osteopathic Medicine in meeting academic or related committee responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge base in a specialty area(s).
• A demonstrated ability and desire to teach.
• Ability to work collaboratively.
• Strong interpersonal skills and motivation to contribute to the growth and development of the Family Practice & Primary Care departments, and overall university.
• Pre-Board Certification in primary care specialty or equivalent.
• Fundamental knowledge of Osteopathic Medicine and its core competencies.

Required Qualifications

• The ideal candidate be comfortable teaching in a post-graduate setting and will possess a graduate level degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in any of the topics mentioned in the job responsibilities section.
• proficient in the following areas: Relevant content expertise, research techniques, instructional design, delivery and assessment, course management, psychometrics/statistics, learning theory, public speaking, effective communication, conflict management .
