Job Description

A highly motivated, hardworking educator to be hired at the instructor or assistant professor level to assist in the teaching of Family Medicine and Primary Care.

Job Duties

. Faculty members in the Family Practice & Primary Care department are responsible for the
delivery of a portion of’the curriculum in which they have experience.
. They are expected to assist the college of osteopathic Medicine in meeting academic or related
committee responsibilities.
. Strong knowledge base in a specialty area(s).
. A demonstrated ability and desire to teach.
. Ability to work colla boratively.
. Strong interpersonal skills and motivation to contribute to the growth and development
of the Family Practice & Primary Care departments, and overall university.
. Pre-Board Certlfication in primary care specialty or equivalent.
. Fundamental knowledge of Osteopathic Medicine and its core competencies.

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be proficient in the following areas: Relevant content expertise,
research techniques, instructional design, delivery and assessment, course management, psychometrics/statistics, learning theory, public speaking, effective
communication, conflict management.
The ideal candidate be comfortable teaching in a post-graduate setting and will possess a graduate level degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in any of the topics mentioned in the job responsibilities section.
