Job Description

The Recruitment and Hiring Coordinator provides support to all operational aspects of the Touro College employment process.

The role is key to the transformation of TCUS Human Resources, and the effective integration of HR value-added services with the administrative and academic departments of the college. While
the focus is on the overall operations of talent acquisition, the role may also support creation of talent management programs at the direction of the Manager, such as successions plans, diversity strategies, and employee development and retention programs.

Job Duties

• Primary point of contact for hiring managers in the recruitment, hiring and onboarding processes.
• Provides operational support for recruitment of administrative positions, including job posting, external advertising/posting, and offer letters.
• Ensures integrity and compliance for all pre-employment processes, including reference and background checks, I-9 verification, and onboarding.
• Support New Hire Orientation programs by handling logistics, managing the schedule, distributing materials, and ensuring a positive employee experience.
• May actively manage full-cycle recruitment for specified open jobs.
• Works closely with HR staff in other regions to share operational best practices, provide
assistance on critical needs and coordinate on national-level initiatives.
• Provides operational support for organizational development programs, which may include workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, retention, and employee engagement (including surveys and action plans).
• Participate in high visibility HR process/technology improvement projects related to recruitment, hiring, and onboarding.
• Other HR administrative responsibilities and projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of two (2) years of Human Resources experience, including working knowledge of HR services (recruitment, onboarding, talent management, employment law)
• Exceptional analytical, problem solving skills, and collaboration skills
• Demonstrated proficiency in communication (written and verbal)
• Overall business acumen, ethical decision making and relationship management skills
• Experience with hiring operations and use of Applicant Tracking Systems (PeopleAdmin a plus)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or other advanced education with an emphasis in Business, Employment, Human Resources, and/or Labor & Employee Relations
• Experience in higher education
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
• Experience in HR systems and technology (including Banner)
• Some recruitment experience for administrative roles

Physical Demands

• Extensive time sitting and standing
• Able to lift up to 5 lbs.
