Job Description

This position would provide programmatic data collection efforts to support grant writing and routine data reporting. More specifically, this position would oversee and/or coordinate the determination of data needs; the collection, compilation, and analysis of program activity data; and then develop, write, and present comprehensive statistical and narrative program reports for grants, research projects, university and accreditation efforts, and more as needed. In addition to collecting and analyzing incoming program data, this individual would be responsible for collating, coordinating, synthesizing, and reporting on existing data for strategic planning purposes.

Job Duties

Specific tasks include but are not limited to:

• Design, manage, and maintain a comprehensive program information resource, ensuring consistency and integrity of data; oversee collection and reporting of data related to admissions, graduation, alumni, course evaluation and all other relevant data collected on a regular basis.
• Coordinate with other campus departments to retrieve the data relevant to admissions, graduation, and alumni.
• Summarize and highlight key findings within regular/periodic reports, presentations, and newsletters.
• Identify funding opportunities to support program initiatives (e.g., student support), faculty research and equipment needs.
• Lead grant writing efforts for program level grants; manage and maintain grant requirements.
• Facilitate interactions between faculty researchers and prospective partners and funding sources.
• Other programmatic support duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must adhere to the policies and procedures of Touro University California and perform all responsibilities within the values and professional framework of the mission and vision of the Public Health Program.


• Required: A master’s degree in public health or related field from an accredited school
• Required: At least 2-3 years of data management and/or grant writing experience
• Preferred: A demonstrated potential for securing external funding
