Job Description

Open immediately, a full time position for a research assistant or associate, or senior research associate (depending on qualifications) to produce vaccine antigens for novel vaccine testing in mice. Protein chemistry and some chemistry skills and molecular biology skills are desirable, and experience with handling mice is preferred, but we will train the candidate with specific skills for the project regardless of prior experience. Data management, and report preparation will also be required.

Job Duties

• Create vaccine preparations for murine immunization
• Basic molecular biology skills, including PCR, cloning and DNA/RNA handling
• Protein purification, protein gels, and protein concentration determination
• Murine immunizations
• Mouse husbandry for those mice within the study
• Serum collection
ELISA measurement of responses against murine vaccine antigens
• Data collection and preparation of figures
• Preparation of reports describing data and results

Required Qualifications


BS or an MS equivalent and 1 to 3+ years work experience. CURRENT VISA/GREEN CARD or CITIZENSHIP STATUS IN THE US is REQUIRED.


Requirements for the position include good communication and organization skills, and independent working skills when given clear experimental goals, and a professional work ethic.
