Job Description

Touro University Nevada Office of Admissions is seeking a full-time Admissions & Recruitment Program Manager to be responsible for increasing and meeting TUN’s enrollment for the School of Nursing programs through coordinated, planned, and data driven recruitment practices. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and experienced in creating a seamless transition for the student from the application to the enrollment stage. The manager is responsible for meeting acceptance and enrollment goals of the school of nursing programs and provides information to prospective students on all aspects of the university.

Job Duties

The manager provides prospect interviewing support to the directors, processes candidate applications and executes the admissions process from prospective applicant through matriculation. Assist with the review of applications to the specified program, including evaluation of primary and secondary applications, personal statements, and letters of recommendation to assist with the faculty review. Formulate and implement a comprehensive recruitment and admissions plan that includes targeted advertising, travel, campus visits and managing the full admissions funnel for the specific assigned programs including applicants and accepted students.

Additionally, this position uses independent authority and discretion and is authorized to commit the university to admissions decisions within assigned programs. The position also includes funnel management to build inquiry pools to reach established enrollment goals.

Specific Responsibilities:
1. Process applications and manage the application process.
2. Communicate via phone, email and letters to prospective applicants and accepted students.
3. Maintain communication with prospective applicants to encourage and support completion of the application process.
4. Independently evaluate completed files and make admission decisions based on established criteria.
5. Serve as a liaison with other student service departments.
6. Create statistical reports and provide analytical data to assist with recruitment, enrollment, and yield strategies.
7. Collaborate with mid-level executives to help solidify and manage existing partnerships within healthcare systems, businesses, and educational entities.
8. Assist with the development of effective marketing and recruitment strategies.
9. Serve as a recruiter for specified programs.
10. Work with senior leadership to achieve enrollment goals.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Significant experience in recruitment,
admissions, or student services

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Able to exercise sound judgement
• Able to work with diverse populations
• Competency in technology computer skills; Experience with Banner, Hobson’s Apply Yourself, FileMaker Pro, and Excel a plus
• Able to collect and analyze data using the results to implement future programs, plans, and strategies.
• Availability to travel for recruitment and professional development
