Job Description

Provides overall administrative support to: (1) the Assistant Dean and Chair of GSE’s School Leadership Program and (2) the Chair of GSE’s School Counseling Program

Job Duties

Under the general direction of the Chairs of the School Leadership and School Counseling programs, and with wide latitude for the exercise of independent initiative and judgment, job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Provides support in student recruitment efforts of the School Leadership and School Counseling programs
• Assists in the student registration process
• Informs the Chairs on a weekly basis of current enrollment numbers as well as enrollment issues that may need addressing
• Informs students about course offerings
• Serves as administrative liaison between the Chairs and respective faculty for both MS programs
• Prepares requisitions and orders supplies
• Provides input regarding School Leadership and School Counseling programs’ class schedules and identification of instructor assignments
• Communicates with GSE’s Coordinator of Communications regarding the posting of both Programs’ schedules as well as other website information
• Prepares complete student graduation packages
• Compiles School Leadership and School Counseling programs’ graduation lists for submission to the registrar
• Serves as liaison with Touro offices such as the Bursar and Registrar
• Assists in the preparation of internship seminars
• Assists in the organization of School Leadership and School Counseling faculty meetings
• Provides overall administrative support to the GSE Academic, Disciplinary, and Human Rights Committee
• Provides administrative assistance to the Satisfactory Academic Progress Committee
• Provides administrative assistance to the Office of Disabilities Coordinator

Required Qualifications

Education, Preparation and Training
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
Strong organizational skills
Strong analytical skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Computer Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel Power Point, Outlook
Some travel to Touro College GSE sites New York City including occasional evenings
