Job Description

Touro University invites applications for a full-time Assistant to the Registrar position. Touro University is seeking an individual with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to assist the Registrar Office in the collection, entry, maintenance, protection and reporting of permanent student information. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing accuracy is a must. Excellent data-entry skills required.

Job Duties

• Assists the Registrar with daily office responsibilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Assist with Graduation
• Process Immunization
• Maintain accuracy of students file.
• Filing
• Ability to develop positive and cooperative relationships with students, faculty and colleagues.
• Verifies enrollment for all students to include loan deferments, Insurance forms, full time letters, State Board verification and degree verification.
• Assists with scheduling and registration issues
• Assist with transcripts and diploma questions.
• All other tasks assigned by the supervisor

Required Qualifications

Education, Preparation, and Training
• Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent work experience.
• Banner experience preferred.
Skills
• Customer Service orientation.
• Team Skills
• Knowledge of Family Educational & Rights & Privacy Act Regulations
• Strong communication and personal skills.
• Accuracy and productivity in completing tasks.
• Ability to solve problems and meeting deadlines.
• Knowledge of Internet Native Banner system a plus.
Computer Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook.
