Job Description

Responsible for general technical support for students, faculty and staff of the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine (350+ users).

Job Duties

Responsible for general technical support, to include, but not limited to as much of the following as possible:
• Administers all smart-podiums, troubleshooting all AV issues in lecture halls and classrooms
• Performs installation, configuration, deployment and troubleshooting of desktop computers and peripherals
• Administers Print Server and printing management software
• Administers E-Mail listserv for faculty, staff and student body
• Troubleshoots network (wired and wireless) related issues on workstations, printers, scanners, video conferencing equipment and wireless system
• Administers video streaming website and servers
• Manages off-campus streaming events
• Manages AV systems of OSCE rooms
• Technical support for Medical Simulation Machines (SimMan, SimMan 3G, BabySim and BabySim 3G). Troubleshoots connectivity issues, replaces/fixes simulator parts
• Administers Active Directory
• Assists students and instructors with Blackboard/iTunes/Kaltura issues.
• Administer video conferencing
Other duties as required

Required Qualifications

Education, Preparation, and Training
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience.
• At least 3-5 years IT experience
• Team player with the ability to work independently when necessary.
• Excellent communication, Time management, and organizational skills
• Ability to learn new technology
Computer Skills
• Networking, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, TCP/IP, Acronis,
• Knowledge of Windows Workstations/Servers, Linux Servers and Mac OSX.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
• Basic understanding of Audio Visual equipment.
• Internet research
