Job Description

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support and research for multiple tasks of the Basic Science Dept.

Job Duties

Provide administrative support for the Chair, Basic Science Dept but not limited to the following:

Handle student inquiries Assist faculty with course materials Assist faculty with student inquiries Provide support to Dept Chair in items for department Assists with general correspondence, memoranda, surveys, applications, scheduling appointments, meeting minutes, and testing Handles requests for assistance and potential questions; provides information and clarification Fields all phone requests Assists with letters and coordinates processing Assists with preparation of files Assists with reports and maintains records Compiles and tabulates statistical information Provides liaison between departments Performs special projects and assignments as requested by the Director or Dean Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Education, Preparation, and Training
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Strong interpersonal skills
Well organized
Able to prioritize tasks
Computer Skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
