Job Description

The Associate Dean for Curriculum Integration (AD) for the School of Medicine will oversee the educational programs leading to the MD degree, ensuring that the programs’ objectives are met, that the mission is supported, and that coherent and coordinated educational programs are delivered.

Job Duties

The AD will provide the central support for the following LCME-mandated initiatives: curriculum integration, interprofessional education, educational technology and flipped-classroom modalities, and case-based curriculum to promote self-directed and lifelong learning. Other responsibilities will be to provide oversight of the medical student elective and developing areas of concentration programs. This individual will also interface with the assistant dean for basic science and clinical education to further develop new teaching and assessment modalities to address new accreditation mandates to promote longitudinal clinical education and development of entrustable professional activities.

Required Qualifications

Education requirement:
• MD, PhD or EdD with medical education focus
• Expertise in education pedagogy, assessment, and latest trends in medical education
• A minimum of five years of successful experience in medical school education
