Job Description

The Touro College of Pharmacy invites applications for 3, 6, 9 or 12-month faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor in internal medicine or pharmacotherapy and a variety of clinical specialties such as cardiology, critical care, ambulatory care, and other specialties. The Visiting Professor will provide classroom teaching and lecturing, recitations, and laboratory instruction. A primary focus of the Visiting Professor is to serve as a mentor for junior faculty.

Job Duties

Job Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

• Faculty will provide didactic classroom teaching and recitation instruction on campus
• Faculty will provide mentoring for junior faculty
• Faculty will provide service on college committees, attendance and participation in departmental meetings and will perform other faculty duties as appropriate
• Faculty may participate in research and scholarship activities
• Faculty may participate in clinical practice in an in-patient or ambulatory care setting and serve as a preceptor and role model for students on advanced pharmacy practice experiences

Required Qualifications

Education, Preparation, and Training

The applicant should have a Pharm.D. Degree with three years of faculty experience. Post-graduate training – a PGY-2 Residency, Fellowship or equivalent clinical experience is preferred.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
