Job Description

The position is responsible for managing the billing and collection of tuition and fees for Touro College

Job Duties

• Reviews student accounts and makes adjustments as needed.
• Ensures that all refunds are processed properly and accurately and deposited in a timely manner.
• Manages and reviews Credit Balances analysis.
• Makes sure that refund vouchers are prepared timely and accurately.
• Markets BlackBoard Pay.
• Reviews BlackBoard Pay reports and requests for returned ACH to be voided.
• Places direct phone calls and E-mails to customers that are past due.
• Constantly seeks methods to reduce both delinquency and bad debt.
• Works closely with SAS departments to ensure students are getting the highest quality of service.
• Assists Bursar’s department at large with collections of receivables.
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Education, Preparation, and Training
• Bachelor’s degree
• At least 1-3 years’ experience in Accounts Receivables position
• Banner experience preferable

• Good written, oral and reading communication skills.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills.
• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize work.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to adjust and interact with all levels of personnel.

Preferred Qualifications

Computer Skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook
• Excel – Expert User skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office Works

Physical Demands

Extensive Use of Computers
Extensive time sitting and standing
Able to lift up to 5 lbs.
