Job Description

Assists the Dean and Department Chair as directed in all aspects of Graduate School and Departmental operations. Participates in Chair and Academic Committee deliberations, as well as special assignments as determined by the Dean and Department Chair.

Job Duties

Hiring, supervision and evaluation of full-time and part-time teaching and research faculty

Program development, structuring, scheduling, staffing, evaluation, and assessment Individual course development and assessment Course resource research for such items as textbooks and audio visual tools Establish and maintain productive connections with Deans, Directors and Site Coordinators Counsel and advise students regarding Web Design and Multimedia Design and Digital Multimedia Design programs Respond to inquiries and complaints regarding the Web and Multimedia Design MA program and the undergraduate Digital Multimedia Design program. Supervise the work of the Digital Multimedia Design Program Coordinator Serve on College committees and participate in college initiatives as directed Participate in preparation for accreditation by organizing program data collection efforts.
Required Qualifications

Education, Preparation, and Training
Master’s Degree (at minimum)
At least 3 years academic experience

Skills
Knowledge of educational programming and pedagogy
Understanding of academic assessment tools
Strong customer service and organizational skills
Must be able to multi-task and prioritize work
Ability to maneuver within the academic community
Strong interest in and commitment to student success

Preferred Qualifications

Computer Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Access.
A working familiarity with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of software.

Travel
• Regular travel to Touro sites which house aspects of the Web and Multimedia Design program, the Digital Multimedia Design program, and various Computer Science and Information Systems programs.
• Occasional travel to meetings and conferences out of the city and the state

Physical Demands

Extensive Use of Computers
Extensive time sitting and standing
Able to lift up to 5 lbs.
Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound
