Job Description

The Touro College Graduate Program in Speech-Language Pathology is seeking applicants for a 10 month full time faculty position with possible opportunity for additional summer teaching. The program currently has approximately 100 graduate students and is approved by the New York State Education Department and is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA) of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). It offers a 58 credit Master’s degree program with students required to complete research in addition to fulfilling academic and clinical requirements. Students are encouraged to submit their research for publication or presentation. The program is housed in a newly constructed building with state of the art technology in the classroom and an on-site clinic. Touro’s Brooklyn location offers easy access to New York City and the surrounding tri-state area, and proximity to public transportation including Rail and JFK and LaGuardia Airports.

Job Duties

Teaching in area(s) of expertise is a primary requirement. Faculty members are also expected to be involved in shared student advisement and program and college committee assignments. Faculty research is strongly encouraged and supervision of student research is desired. Opportunity for clinical supervision of students may occur.

Required Qualifications

Earned doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field from an accredited university. ASHA Certification and eligibility for New York State licensure is expected. Teaching experience is preferred.
