Job Description

Assists the department with all phases of admissions and maintains accurate records and responds to prospective student inquiries.

Job Duties

Assists the Director of Admissions including but not limited to the following :

• Screens and processes all applications track, prepares and oversees all of the applicant’s files for committee review, including responding to student telephone and E- mail inquiries regarding the status of his/her application, recommendation letters, and application.
• Maintains accuracy of files and new student records in AS400 data base system
• Interacts with the admissions committee offices regarding applicant acceptance and rejection file
• Reviews admission applications, evaluate all incoming and prospective students college transcripts credentials and reference
• Prepares letters of acceptance, rejection and evaluation review letters
• Manages database by updating new student records
• Advises students and families on admission requirements and transfer guidelines
• Answers, responds and directs incoming telephone calls, emails and all health science related inquiries to the appropriate person

Required Qualifications

Education, Preparation, and Training
• Bachelor’s Degree
• At least 3-5 years of administrative experience

• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent organization skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

Computer Skills

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, and Outlook)
- Travel to recruitment events regionally and nationally as directed .

Physical Demands

• Extensive Use of Computers
• Extensive time sitting and standing
• Able to lift up to 5 lbs.
