Job Description

Manages recruitment and admissions processes for Lander College of Arts and Sciences

Job Duties

Manages recruitment and admission processes to include, but not limited to the following:

Works closely with academic departments to develop effective recruiting strategies Collaborates with academic departments and the marketing department to develop effective recruitment materials Communicates with prospective students Coordinates recruitment and registration for Freshman Center Program Coordinates recruitment for the Touro College Israel Option Plans and conducts recruitment events and business which may require travel and/or evening hours Ensures timely and accurate responses to telephone, email, in-person and written inquiries from potential students Reviews and develops administrative procedures that insure that new students are admitted in accordance with admission policies and college regulations Insures accurate and timely data-processing on the college’s student information system Distributes scheduled and ad-hoc admissions reports to academic departments and administrative offices Evaluates and reports outcomes; uses information (including statistical) in reports to make improvements to the recruiting process Manages admissions staff, including hiring, timekeeping, annual performance reviews, and the provision of training, to insure high levels of customer service are provided Oversees department budget including developing detailed proposals to support recruitment and admissions Serves as an admissions generalist when needed, for example, counseling prospective students Participates in professional development activities, including local and national professional organizations Performs other appropriate duties as assigned
Required Qualifications

Education, Preparation, and Training
Bachelor’s degree, Masters preferred Relevant prior work experience

Creative thinker with knowledge of best practices and standards relating to admissions and recruitment
Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and academic administration
Fluent in spoken and written Hebrew

Preferred Qualifications

Computer Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
This position is based in Brooklyn. Occasional travel for recruitment purposes is required.

Extensive time sitting and standing
Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
